Author: Hello, my dear readers! My uncle Stephen is working in a boat club. One time, I happened to see him repairing the boat anchors. I was of the idea that boats are smaller in size when compared to ship and so there is no necessity for them to have anchors. But my uncle explained that boats also needed anchors, shackles, thimbles and other related accessories. May be the boats in the club are meant only for short term boating, but in general, the cases where boats are used as small size ships, they have to be fully equipped with all the parts just like a king size ship. Also, the boat anchors would play its part in at least fixing the boats at the shores and thus saving them from terrible breakages especially during the windy and rainy season.
The explanation given by my uncle was satisfactory and I too realized the importance of boat anchors for the boats. He also added that many of the boat accessories were not easily accessible as in the case of ships and it was with the guidance of his friend cum colleague, he came to know about a site where the online purchase of boat supplies and accessories were made easy and affordable too! Good!
