Parenting
Parenting is the loveliest and at the same time, the most worrying part in any person’s life! No one is experienced enough to understand the baby talk and its essential needs, when it cries. Only mother is gifted with those special skills so that she could very easily comprehend her little one’s blabbers! However, the mother too sometimes would panic not able to get the true meaning of her kid’s cry.
So, this is the first thing a mother should avoid. She should not get tensed especially in front of her baby as it tends to respond to the environment more quickly. If your baby cries, try to pacify him or her without any tension. Then try to analyze the reason for its tears. Even if the little one is not convinced by all your calm efforts like satiating its hunger, playing with him then it is high time that you take him to a doctor.
Beware While Teaching Words For Your Kids!
The parents should be very careful while teaching their kids to speak. There is a common practice among parents, who soon after the child starts speaking the initial words like mother, father and other close relations, they tend to have fun with the kid by teaching him or her to tell unwanted words and thereby have rolls and rolls of laughter.
This might seem to be funny in the beginning, but as days go on, the kid would not understand the true meaning of such filthy words, and by matter of practice, it happens to say those words to unexpected people or in any public place that would become a black mark for you. So, be very cautious in teaching new words for your kids as they would get into the same practice!
Get Closer With Your Kids
While taking care of the kids, as good parents there are lots of delicate matters to be handled carefully. Some kids would be of open type by expressing as what they feel while some others would be very moody and reserved. It is quiet easy to deal with the kids of former type while the latter has to be treated with great care keeping in mind about their future growth too.
As such kids do not show themselves up and tend to bottle up their feelings, they should be shown more attention and care as every movement of them has to be watched very carefully. Only when the parents get into their personal circle of the kids could they fathom them well and in fact guide them properly in the future.
Testing Times Of Pregnancy
Nausea really brings discomfort to those who are pregnant. When a pregnant woman did not eat any food, she will experience nausea. In early mornings, most of the pregnant women will face nausea because her stomach will be empty for the whole night. Hence, it is necessary for women to eat food at all times in order to avoid nausea. It is not necessary that food should be eaten; the pregnant woman can also drink a glass of juice. Fruits are really good for health and for avoiding nausea.
In the afternoon, vegetable soup or tea is perfect for the lunch and it can be consumed in order to prevent nausea from occurring. It is the responsible to take note that which type of food suits their body and health. If a woman does not like some foods, she can prevent it because it may result in vomiting. For the first three months, mostly all the women who are pregnant will undergo nausea but they should have the tendency to bear it. Vaginal discharge will also be undergone by the women and its color will be yellowish. It is normal in pregnancy but women should not get irritated because of it. Consulting a doctor regularly is good for the health condition of the mother and her baby in her womb.
Nurturing In The Womb
A happy mom communicates her feeling to her baby nestling in her womb through the amniotic fluid. Research is establishing a connection between a mother’s start of mind and that of her baby’s disposition. She has already begun bonding and sharing her life with her baby and they are both comrades in arms – mom and baby. Her happiness hormones create an environment of calm and bliss for the baby to grow in. Your baby’s learning and thinking process begins while she is still in the womb.
There’s an incredible, instinctual, mechanism that’s revved up when a baby and the mother are put together. In a foetus these responses seem primitive, but they are responses all the same. While we may be under the impression that the uterus is a quite cosy little place where peace reigns supreme things could not be further away from the truth. Actually, life in the uterus is noisy and unsetting. Mama’s voice resonated deep within, her organs provide their own cacophony of sounds – gurgling, pumping, and beating. This riotous world acquaints the foetus to sounds, tastes and smells. She is already prepared to face the world outside with a distinct personality of her own.
Imagine being born with the ability to be happy. Yes, it’s possible; there might be those lucky babies who have it in-built into their systems to be happy. This was illustrated by watching two identical twins brought up separately under different environment, displaying the same levels of happiness. Research is increasingly indicating that there is a happiness set-point that each of us is born with.
Rest & Physical Inactivity Of Pregnant Women
Pregnant ladies who are easy going, sloth and inactive, have rigid joints with painful swelling, digestion related problems, swelling offset, pendulous abdomen, extra weight, suffer from acidity, belching, eructations flatulence, colic, constipation, head-ache, general malaise etc. are advised not to lead a sedentary life nor overwork their bodies. Rest is needed to calm down your tired limbs & agitated nerves but rest does not mean you should remain inactive and abstain from your normal domestic chores (routine work). A woman who leads a sedentary and inactive life is most likely to give birth to a mentally and physically inactive/retarded children who mental faculties and physical movements would be found wanting.
After lunch you should rest for a while but never sleep-if you wish, you can have a short nap. Never asleep or lie down immediately after taking your meals. After dinner, you can have a stroll (but no fast walking). Even normal movement and mobility in the house, while doing normal domestic jobs, will suffice to ensure your and your baby’s proper development but you must take proper and requisite diet in proportion to the calories expended during activity – whether it is light, moderate or medium or heavy. In any case, you must avoid rigorous activity and avoid (rather rule out) all situations where you feel to get tired, exhausted and weak.
Reasonable activity, requisite diet and rest are the three parameters of a regulated and healthy life and you have a strike a proper balance with and amongst all the three facets.
Habitual Vomiting Or Posseting
Almost all babies bring up some milk, but some babies who are otherwise gaining weight satisfactorily have an increased tendency to vomit. These babies are usually highly active, cheerful, interested in their surroundings and exhibit rapid movement of arms and legs. This type of vomiting is usually more troublesome during the first few weeks of life, but it may continue as a nuisance for some months. The timing and frequency of vomiting are irregular. Typically no sooner has an infant has been cleaned up, varying amounts of milk may be already over-anxious. This mother should be reassured. Sometimes milk sedation of the infant may help; chloral hydrate 60 to 200 mg before each feeding is often helpful.
In some babies milk shoots out when the baby belches and this type of projectile vomiting may lead a doctor to diagnosis of cognetial pyeloric stenosis. Mothers usually exaggerate the quantity brought up . The weight gain is normal. The cause of excessive flatulence in breast fed babies is prolong sucking, which may either be because of insufficient milk at times or the baby may just keep on sucking longer than required. Babies fed on bottles sometimes gulp very rapidly and this might also cause vomiting. A teat with a very small hole and leads to excessive air swallowing and later to vomiting. Some mothers do not tilt the bottles properly, and the teat, instead of containing milk, contains a lot of air and some milk.
